Aqua pack bouquets / Gel packed bouquets - flowers by post

These bouquets come ready displayed to be placed in your vase with minimal attention on the part of the recipient. While aqua packed bouquets can be left in the cellophane, we recommend that you do not leave them like this for more than a day.
Gel packed bouquets should not be left in the gel solution on receipt. The gel is purely for transportation purposes, and is not designed to prolong the life of the flowers. On receipt you should:
  • Hold bouquet over the sink and cut open the lower portion of the wrapping
  • Once all water has drained out, rinse stems clean of the gel solution, cut away both the lower and upper portion of the gift wrap, retaining the flower food provided
  • Fill a clean vase two thirds full of clean water and add the flower food
  • Hold onto your bouquet just above the tying point, trim the stems and then snip the binding ribbon
  • Place flowers into the vase and let go - the flowers should then spread to fill the vase.

Flat packed bouquets

These bouquets are designed for the recipient to arrange in one or several vases on arrival. On receipt you should:
  • Unwrap flowers as soon as possible after arrival
  • Fill a clean vase two thirds full of clean water and add the flower food provided
  • Clean stems of any foliage which is likely to be below the water level
  • Cut stems on a slant and place in the water.

General care notes

  • Water should be changed every couple of days
  • Remove any dead or fading blooms
  • Do not display flowers in direct sunlight or directly over working radiators as this will reduce the lifetime of your flowers
  • Remove any foliage which may drop into the water
  • Pollen can stain fabrics. If any is dropped, use sellotape to remove or a dry brush/duster. Do not attempt to use water.
  • Keep cut flowers, flower food and vases out of the reach of children and pets. Some flowers are poisonous.
